Green Evans-Schroeder is an immigration law firm located in Tucson, Arizona. We are recruiting for immigration attorneys with approximately five years of experience exclusively for research and writing projects. The attorneys who fill this position will be engaged strictly as independent contractors. Demonstrated excellence in appellate writing is required. In addition to brief writing for cases pending at the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, other projects that our firm may be in a position to assign include motions before the BIA and the Ninth Circuit, petitions for review, notices of appeal, motions for stay (and replies), I-601 and I-601A cover letter briefing, U visa application cover letters, briefs in support of affirmative and defensive applications for asylum-based relief, and briefs in support of defensive applications for discretionary relief, such as Cancellation of Removal and Adjustment of Status.
Applicants for this position are expected to perform conflicts checks pursuant to the rules of professional conduct which apply to the jurisdiction in which they are licensed. They are also expected to have access to their own legal research resources. Access to our law firm's electronic and research databases will not be provided to independent contractors to ensure that any potential conflicts of interest arising from the inadvertent release of our clients' confidential information does not occur.
