Stradley Ronon is hiring an Engineering Services Manager to join the IT department in the Philadelphia headquarters. This newly created position will oversee the systems team and managed service providers for network and security operations. Reporting to the Director of IT, this role will work to implement and maintain the firm’s current and next generation of network systems that support the delivery of the firm’s legal services. The ideal candidate will be comfortable delivering reliable network systems and developing short and long-term plans that support the IT Department’s mission and vision.
Coaching, mentoring, and motivating systems team;
Design and implement short and long-term tactical plans to support the IT strategic plan to align network, SAN and compute capacities with existing and future requirements.
Responsible for documentation, IT Policy creation, and providing reports to CIO and IT Director
Maintain a 99.9% uptime ratio for network and enterprise systems; perform and document a root cause analysis for system downtime.
Negotiate with vendors and contractors to procure network products and services.
Oversee network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation.
Monitor network security and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, intrusion detection systems and data loss preventions solutions.
Maintain Active Directory (DHCP, DNS) and group policies within a Windows networking environment.
Manage and ensure effectiveness of servers and data, including SAN, e-mail, database, web, print, virtual (VMware), remote access and backup technologies, and their associated operating systems and software.
Manage and ensure optimal operation of all networking solutions including WAN, routers, switches, UPSs, and disaster recovery/business continuity solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field is preferred.
4+ years of direct supervisory experience.
7+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
Substantial experience in IT policy creation and documentation
Flexibility and willingness to respond to issues during and outside of core business hours.
Hands-on, proven experience with the following:
Windows 2012/2016/2019 server, Windows 10 workstation, and networking experience in a complex, multi-vendor network environment.
Cisco switches, routers and wireless controllers.
VOIP, Cisco Unified Communications.
SAN’s and Storage Management.
DNS, DHCP and Group Policies in Active Directory.
Virtual environments with VMware vSphere Enterprise, Operations and Update Management and vCenter 6.5.
Network security with Windows 2012/2016/2019 servers, Cisco switching & routing and Fortinet firewalls.
WAN technologies, circuit activation, turn up and cutover.
Citrix XenApp 7.9 Virtual Desktop and Application hosting desired.
