Beveridge & Diamond, the nation’s first and largest environmental law firm, seeks a Talent Operations & Innovation Manager (“Manager”) to take a lead role in envisioning and executing the Firm’s talent operations strategy across its seven offices throughout the United States following significant and ongoing firmwide growth. The Manager at Beveridge & Diamond holds a dynamic role focused on enhancing the Firm’s talent management strategies and operations through innovative solutions and technological advancements. Positioned two steps below the Chief Talent Officer, this role reports directly to the Director of Professional Development & Coaching and with a dotted line to the Senior Manager of Attorney Recruiting.
Essential Functions
Collaborate with the Director of Professional Development & Coaching to implement talent management initiatives that align with the Firm’s strategic goals.
Lead a dedicated team in developing and executing innovative programs that support the attorney lifecycle.
Lead complex, high-impact innovation projects from inception to successful implementation.
Lead business process analysis, solution evaluation, and vendor management with a focus on integrating seamless technological and automation solutions. Evaluate solutions against requirements, manage vendors, negotiate contracts, manage costs, reduce vendor-related risk, and ensure service delivery.
Provide high-level service and administrative support in the execution of attorney-related talent management processes and initiatives such as onboarding, off-boarding, performance management, talent management, training, and program development, DEIB initiatives, employee engagement, and alumni outreach.
Manage the financial stewardship of the Talent Department by developing, evaluating, and forecasting the budget, incorporating monthly reconciliation to ensure fiscal responsibility and strategic allocation of resources in line with the Firm’s priorities.
Collaborate with team on goal setting and project planning with a focus on digital adaptation management.
Facilitate the integration of technological solutions to streamline all aspects of the attorney talent lifecycle.
Support the firm’s recruiting activities by providing tools and insights that enable efficient talent acquisition and management.
Leverage data analytics for informed decision-making and continuous improvement of talent strategies.
Design and implement robust evaluation processes to measure the effectiveness of training programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and continuous improvement through feedback analysis, performance metrics, and learning outcome assessments.
Works with Human Resources and the Talent Team to maintain comprehensive Attorney Handbook; manages compliance with Talent policies; responds to inquiries about the application of policies to specific situations.
Contribute to the firm’s diversity and inclusion efforts by ensuring that talent management practices encourage a diverse and competitive workforce, including by working in collaboration with the DEI Coordinator on reporting metrics.
Conduct individual and group coaching sessions to enhance learning and development outcomes, utilizing evidence-based strategies and tools to foster professional growth and optimize instructional effectiveness.
Manage and mentor direct reports, fostering an environment of professional growth and operational excellence.
Engage in cross-departmental collaboration to support the Firm’s overall talent and innovation objectives.
Executes orientation process for new attorney hires and all large-scale Attorney Talent programs.
Perform data analysis to measure project outcomes and ROI, providing insights to guide future initiatives.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending new opportunities for innovation in legal practice.
As this is a new position, specific duties and responsibilities may be assigned over time.
Hybrid schedule, onsite three days per week.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field required, advanced degree preferred.
A minimum of five years’ experience in program development or talent management, with a focus on leveraging technology and innovation to improve processes.
Demonstrated passion for legal practice technology and innovation, with a solid understanding of process improvement, change management, and talent project management principles.
Deep understanding of legal processes, terminology, and information needs across various legal practice areas. Law firm experience strongly preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Public speaking and meeting facilitation skills.
Ability to build strong and trusting relationships at all levels across the Firm.
Experience developing and delivering training programs is a plus.
Ability to work in an organized fashion within a fast paced, fluid environment.
Ability to travel as needed to other offices across the United States.
