Counsel to fill an attorney position in Omaha, NE.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing underlying title insurance claims to identify parties liable for the Company’s loss/expense.
Developing and executing a plan to recoup the Company’s loss/expense from liable parties.
Negotiating settlements and resolutions with liable parties, opposing counsel, third party insurers, etc.
Retaining counsel and directing litigation strategy when.
Appearing as the Company’s representative in court proceedings, mediations, depositions, settlement conferences, etc.
Requirements:
Must excel at written/verbal communication, negotiation and organization.
Must take initiative and be highly self-motivated.
JD from accredited law school.
Licensed, and in good standing to practice law, in any U.S. state/D.C. (the Company will consider applicants who have taken a state bar but have not yet received the results).
